Born and raised on the West Coast, in Vancouver, B.C.,
I married and then moved to Victoria, B.C., in 1969.
As a teenager, I studied oil painting in West Vancouver with Charles Stegeman & Francois Andre.
Over the years I have taken many courses in Batik, Silkscreen & Pottery and then spent time designing and painting stage sets for local theatre in Victoria.
After time spent raising a family, I studied drawing and painting for a year with Bill Porteus.
In 1997 I graduated from the Victoria College of Art and in 2006 I moved to beautiful Pender Island. In 2008 I bought into a 3 acre site with Colin and Wendi, (my daughter) We have built a Timber Frame Strawbale house with a studio attached and are now on Phase 2 of building their home.
My art work has been shown at the Sooke Fine Arts show, the Sidney Fine Art show, the Victoria Arts Council Gallery, a number of Alumni shows for the Victoria College of Art & a joint show with Jim Swain at the Victoria Community Arts Council Gallery.
On Pender Island, I am a member of the Pender Islands Artisans Cooperative operating the Red Tree Gallery.

I love exploring inside of whatever
I am portraying on the canvas or paper.
